How do I create a new project?
From the Designer Portal, click on 'Projects' in the sidebar, then click the 'New Project' button. Give your project a name, an optional description and client name, and you're ready to start adding design boards and materials.
How do I add materials to a design board?
Open a design board, then click 'Add Material' or 'Browse Library'. You can search the Surface Library for materials from verified suppliers, preview them, and add them to your board with a specific quantity.
How does the StyleMatch quiz work?
StyleMatch uses AI to analyze your design preferences. Take the quiz by selecting images that appeal to you, and our system will recommend materials and styles that match your aesthetic. You can access it from the main navigation.
Can I invite collaborators to my design boards?
Yes! Go to the Collaboration page from the sidebar, click 'Invite Collaborator', select a design board, enter your colleague's email, and choose their role (Viewer or Editor). They'll receive an email invitation to join.
What is Vision Lab?
Vision Lab is our AI-powered visualization tool. Upload a photo of a room, select materials from your boards, and Vision Lab will generate a realistic preview of how those materials would look in the space.
How do subscriptions and billing work?
DesignEase offers three tiers: Essential, Signature, and Firm. You can view and change your plan from the Access Tiers page in the sidebar. Each tier includes different project limits, AI credits, and features. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time.
How do I manage my orders and specifications?
Use 'Specification Review' in the sidebar to review materials you've added to your spec. From there, you can proceed to checkout and place orders. Track all your orders from the 'Orders' page.
I'm a supplier — how do I list my materials?
Register as a Supplier, then access the Supplier Portal. From your dashboard, go to 'Inventory' to add materials with photos, pricing, categories, and specifications. Materials go through an approval process before appearing in the Surface Library.
